Two tournaments
Chess Club Carevi Kuli, together with the Municipality of Strumica and Hotel Sirius, is hosting an international tournament in two parts: an open event for adults and a children’s event.
Tournament A · FIDE rating up to 2200
An open tournament for players rated up to 2200 FIDE. Seven rounds, Swiss system, FIDE-rated. Time control: 60 minutes + 30 seconds per move. Default time: 15 minutes. In any of the first four rounds a player who gives advance notice may request a bye and receives ½ point for it.
Tournament B · children under 12
For children born in 2014 or later, with prizes in the under-8, under-10 and under-12 categories, separately for boys and girls. Same time control and rules as Tournament A.
Prize fund
112,000 MKD in total, roughly €1,820. Prizes are not shared — a player who qualifies for more than one receives the higher prize, and if the amounts are equal the main prize takes precedence.
